How do I get the best results from Sonorizon?

A proper fit improves clarity and helps reduce feedback (whistling). Adjust the volume gradually to a level that feels comfortable for your needs, higher volume does not always mean better sound.

Yes. Sonorizon is an analogue sound amplifier, meaning it increases all surrounding sounds, not just voices. In very quiet environments or at higher volume levels, a background hiss may be noticeable. This is normal for this type of device.

Will it take time to get used to it?

Yes, and this is completely normal. If you haven’t heard certain everyday sounds clearly for some time, your brain may need a short period to adapt.

We recommend gradual use during the first week:

  • Days 1–2: 30–60 minutes in a quiet setting
  • Days 3–4: 1–2 hours
  • Days 5–7: Longer use in everyday situations

Initially, every day sounds may seem louder eg the humming of the fridge in the kitchen, the noise when you turn pages in the newspaper/magazines, etc. Your brain will adjust and settle.

Most users find listening feels more natural after a few days.

How long do the batteries last/when will they need replacing?

The batteries are designed for long term use and are not removable from the device. They have a life span of a minimum of 3 years if used correctly.  Typically, the device can be used for 5 years or more with gradually reduced battery performance over time.  The batteries do not need to be removed to be charged, they remain in the unit and charge via a USB lead.

What if I hear a whistling sound?

Whistling is usually related to fit or handling. Make sure you are using the correct ear tip size and that the device sits securely in your ear canal.

Avoid pressing, squeezing or adjusting the device excessively once inserted. Bringing your fingers too close to the microphone can create temporary interference and cause feedback.

If whistling occurs, remove the device and reinsert it carefully. If the issue continues, try a larger/smaller ear tip and ensure the ear tips and devices are clean and not blocked.
